SimpleVoIP CRM Connect embeds directly into your AppFolio workflow using a Chrome extension and mobile app integration.

When a call comes in, the matching tenant, owner, or vendor record automatically loads in your browser. When you place a call from AppFolio, it routes through SimpleVoIP so the interaction can be logged.

Calls, AI summaries, and recordings (if enabled) are automatically attached to the appropriate record — reducing manual data entry and improving visibility across your team.

If the incoming phone number matches a contact in AppFolio, their record automatically opens in your browser.

Your team can immediately see who’s calling, their property details, and prior history — without searching manually.

The call is logged to the record, and AI-generated notes can be added automatically based on your settings.

If the number is not found in AppFolio, the call will still be handled normally and recorded (if enabled).

At this time, unknown callers are not automatically logged into AppFolio. However, recordings and AI summaries remain accessible within the SimpleVoIP platform.

Future updates will include options for automatically creating new guest records.

Missed calls are still logged in AppFolio.

This ensures your team maintains visibility into unanswered calls and can follow up appropriately.

Yes. Call recording and AI-generated transcription are available and can be enabled or disabled.

  • Recordings are automatically deleted after 1 year.

  • Deletion is not user-controlled but can be handled by SimpleVoIP support if needed.

  • Compliance requirements vary by state — customers are responsible for any required recording disclosures.

You can also provide your own Amazon S3 storage if longer retention is required.

During onboarding (or anytime afterward), you can choose:

  • Record inbound calls

  • Record outbound calls

  • Record internal calls

  • Record all calls

  • Or disable recording entirely

These recording rules are set in advance and apply automatically based on the configuration you choose.

Recording can also be toggled on or off within the CRM Connect dial pad settings (desktop and mobile), but preferences must be configured before a call begins.

At this time, recording cannot be turned on or off mid-call or selected on a “per call” basis. Any changes must be made to the settings before the call is placed or received.

Number porting typically takes between 7 and 10 days from the time documentation is submitted. Some implementations may take 4–6 weeks depending on complexity and customer readiness.

If the SimpleVoIP app is set as the device’s default dialer, calls placed from mobile devices route through the system and can be logged.

SMS logging within AppFolio is coming soon.

Yes. SimpleVoIP supports native texting through our mobile and desktop applications.

A shared SMS inbox is available, and onboarding helps configure delivery rules.

Logging SMS directly into AppFolio is currently in development.

Yes. You may port as many numbers as needed — including direct employee numbers and main business lines.
